Teddy and Jamie...So, in this one we have Blue's brother Jamie who you might've met if you read book one. Jamie is a wildlife expert, or the animal whisperer, if you will, in Alaska. When he keeps getting calls from a wildlife photographer that borders on entertainingly annoying, he ignores him as best as he can... but something you'll learn about Teddy, is that he isn't good at being ignored.Teddy is very "in your face" in the beginning and I'm not ashamed to say that I didn't care much for him. He was entertaining to a degree, but otherwise was just pushy and pully and kind of cheesy. I hate saying that so much...So, when Teddy shows up to take pictures, Jamie is reluctant and moody, but in the span of a second, he throws himself at Teddy and the hook up... it's was emotional whiplash for me on that one.... but it happened, but then they just go to being friends....which I didn't get.I also cant' stand a story where the guy starts out saying.... "I don't do relationships" or "don't fall in love with me" because dude... they all say that, and guess what happens.... they always fall in love and you end up in a relationship! Teddy was no different, and I understand why, I mean the man travels for work and who really has that type of time when you're jet setting all over the world? But, he's a leaver... so I got it. That didn't stop him and Jamie from hooking up when he was around and then helping him "play the field" when Jamie said that wanted to find someone to hook up with in Teddy's absence. I mean.... it was all just a no from me.Once they figured out that they had feelings for each other, their dialogue flip flopped and they turned sappy and cringy, (and I hate that word, cringy, but that's the only way I can describe it)...So, just to give you the cliffnotes: they spend the whole book not together, hooking up sometimes, life gets in the way for Teddy, (a death in the family), Jamie dates and goes home with a couple different people, the ex comes back randomly and out of nowhere in a ridiculous play to get Jamie back, but like.... who does that? (what he does is ridiculous)..... and then they declare their love for one another and live happily ever after.I really wish this one worked for me because I loved the first one between Blue and Tristan.... I'm not sure about the next one, but perhaps I'll give it a try? I know i'm in the minority on this one because I've heard nothing but amazing things about this series, and I'm sorry for being ranty.... fingers crossed for the next one.2 stars from me
